a used pair of Pioneer CS-99a floor standing speakers. Do your research and you will find that these are highly sought after and can go for as much as $300.00/pr. on Ebay. This particular pair, like all others, have been around for a while, and they show some signs of wear on the outsides of the cabinets. There are the usual scratches and dings, but the cabs are completely solid and structurally sound. The speaker faces are immaculate, and the grilles are in excellent condition. All the drivers work and the speakers sound great, especially when reproducing acoustic instruments.

The 'A' series had non rotting cloth surrounds.

3 way 5 speakers!

You would be hard pressed to find a set of these speakers in any better condition than this set nice sharp edges no stains no gouges a few very slight scratches but very hard to see please enlarge pics for greater detail.

All of the drivers work perfectly and sound like new. Check out the detailed pictures.

The KUMIKO fretwork grills attach to the cabinets with screws and look incredible!

All drivers are original, the surrounds are all in excellent condition and will stay that way as they did not use foam that constantly rots out.

They stand 24 inches tall, 16 inches wide and 11 inches deep.

The stated frequency range is 35-20,000Hz in a normal listening room They are rated at 8 ohm 60 watts but that is old school honest ratings compare to todays 100 watt overblown rating.

The SP1200's incorporated a new unique speaker mounting method that they called the MD (Multi-Directional) system.

The MD system, "is able to reproduce within the listening room the same liveliness or sense of presence experienced in a concert hall or wherever the original live performance was conducted. This development put SANSUI in the forefront of the industry - wide trend away from the simple reproduction of sound points towards the reproduction of an entire sound field. This new mounting method increases the interaction of sound waves by having them criss-cross as they emerge from the individual speakers. The result is greater fidelity than was ever possible with conventional speaker systems."
